What is cellulite?

Cellulite is a common skin condition that causes lumpy, dimpled flesh on the thighs, hips, buttocks and abdomen. The condition is most prevalent in women.

Cellulite dimples are caused by thick bands of collagen that pull downward on the skin’s surface, resulting in depressions or dimpling. As we age, our skin thins and thicker bands of tissue form under the skin causing deeper depressions.
